![]() ![]() 2 mousclicks too much and I'm gone somewhere else haha. As i've responded in a reply.there are so many good ones to get so I just pick the one that works the quickest out of the box. I settled on nomachine because of the automatic detection of computers on the network and win and mac support. I've tried Anyviewer, nomaschine, tightvnc and read up about some others. A steady connection to about 12 laptops from 3-4 laptops in a directors booth with the possibility of connecting through a code with a possibility to remember/save the connections that I made will do just fine.Īnyone got a suggestion for a well functioning, really basic and cheaper alternative to Teamviewer/Anydesk?Įdit: Thank you guys, it's been a couple of days before I could respond. Other interesting Self-Hosted alternatives to TeamViewer are MeshCentral, Apache Guacamole, Remote Utilities and Remotely. I don't need any bells and whistles since I'm not offering remote support, I just need basic control of my own laptops. If that doesn't suit you, our users have ranked more than 100 alternatives to TeamViewer and 13 are available as a self-hosted solution so hopefully you can find a suitable replacement. It seems the ones I tried all need a different host and client app(splashtop), need logging in from a browser (google, screenconnect), need to create a secured token per session (screenconnect), or shortkeys can't be used (google). What I like about Teamviewer and Anydesk is that I download 1 app that I can connect from and to. Now I've tried Splashtop and Screenconnect and Google Remote all to my frustration. The purpose is to control different laptops in a congress centre and all I need is to be able to control the OS. I've been trying out different remote softwares to use instead of teamviewer/anydesk.
